Fallout Equestria 5th Edition – February Pre-Order Updates

Hey folks,
We're rapidly approaching my "favorite" time of year: Chinese New Year! For anyone who has never dealt with Chinese manufactures, CNY is a wonderful time in late-January/February where all the manufactures shut down for two weeks and absolutely nothing gets done. Think of it similar to Christmastime in America.

Unfortunately this preamble is leading to a "hooray, we're delayed again" post. 

To recap this process: we finalized our order January 6th, with an estimated 27 days for production. Materials have all been procured, the inner pages have started printing, they were testing the hot stamping last week. Overall we have been in production, and things have been moving forward. Unfortunately the books will not be ready in time for the the factory's shipping deadline of February 7th (which is in advance of their CNY shutdown February 10-25). 
As it stands we will be resuming production after Chinese New Year when the factory reopens on the 25th. From there we expect finishing production will take 2 weeks. The books will then be loaded on a "fast" boat, which will take about 20-25 days to get to America. I'm not entirely sure what port the boat will land at. If it's the west coast, we'll need to factor maybe a week to transit to our warehouse in New York. If it's east coast, that should be quick. Then of course, once they arrive at the warehouse, we can get them shipped out to folks. 

All said and done, we are looking at into Early April to have the books actually in-hand and shipping to everyone. 

I am very sorry our deadline has been slipping and slipping. What was supposed to be a quick 3-month project has turned into an absolute adventure. We've learned a lot throughout this process, and that will help us avoid similar pitfalls in the future, and help us make even better books next time around.
